awscyberrange/commandcenter repository overview

CommandCenter Overview

CircleCI
The AWS Cyber Range is the world's first open-source Cyber Range blueprint in the world.

purpose

This Command Center container provides a pre-built environment capable of fully managing the AWS Cyber Range.

Usage

For Windows Users: install Docker Desktop
For Mac Users: Docker Desktop for Mac
All others: Docker Desktop Installers

Set your local AWS credentials:

 export aws_access_key_id=example_access_key_id
 export aws_secret_access_key=example_secret_key

Then docker run -it -e AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=$aws_access_key_id -e AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=$aws_secret_access_key awscyberrange/commandcenter:latest /bin/bash this will launch you into a terminal where you have the tools fully setup to launch, test, and interact with the CyberRange.

Updating The Docker Image

This implementation requires an updated docker image each time the docker container is used. Without Deleting the existing image this docker image becomes stale. This will be re-designed in the near future by having all approved Pull Requests in the main cyber range github triggering the Docker Image build.

For the time being you can delete all of your images: docker images | awk {'print $3'} | egrep -iv "image" |xargs docker rmi -f and containers

AWS Cyber Range

The AWS Cyber Range is the world's first open-source Cyber Range framework offering a complete set of offensive, defensive, reverse engineering, & security intelligence tooling in a scalable yet disposable research lab in the AWS Cloud.

This project builds a purposely vulnerable environment containing a toolkit of the most powerful open-source tooling & free-license edition tools known to Cyber Security Engineers testers.

Cyber Range Developers

Want to add testing, a feature, or tool into the Range? Create a fork of the project then send a Pull-Request. Automated testing & or updated circleci steps are always embraced.

Maintainer notes

CICD is now fully building / testing & pushing the images automatically. Locally was a bit tricky despite this is the combination of commands to push the image manually.

docker build -t awscyberange/commandcenter:0.1 .
docker tag <id> awscyberrange/commandcenter:0.1
docker push awscyberrange/commandcenter:0.1
