⁠http2whois

Lightweight HTTP gateway that performs WHOIS lookups through a JSON REST API.

Send a POST /api/v1/whois request with a domain, IP address, or AS number — get a fully parsed WHOIS record back as structured JSON. Automatically follows referral chains to reach the most authoritative server. Covers 1 000+ TLDs, all RIRs, and AS number lookups.

The binary embeds a web UI and an OpenAPI 3.0 spec — no external files, no runtime dependencies.

⁠Quick start

docker run -p 8080:8080 letstool/http2whois:latest

Open http://localhost:8080/⁠ to use the web UI, or query the API directly:

⁠Configuration

CLI flags take priority over environment variables.
